The seminars were presented by Wealth Options to over 200 brokers in conjunction with their product partners, Conexim Advisors Ltd. Guest speakers at the events included Bill Casey, Director, Conexim Advisors Ltd, Ronan Gahan, Director of Risk and Compliance, Conexim Advisors Ltd, Paul McCarville, Principal, Clarus Investment Solutions, Christopher Ovenden, Vice President, Relationship Management, Pershing, a BNY Mellon Company, Katia Radermacher, Senior Investment Consultant, Morningstar, Cyrique Bourbon, Senior Portfolio Manager, MorningStar and Jaap Dekter, Structured Products Specialist, Van Lanschot Bank.
The large number of attendees at the seminars demonstrated the importance and demand for this type of product in the current market.
The Wealth Options Broker Platform allows brokers to introduce their clients to a world of investment opportunities. The Broker Platform is available to A(M)RFs, PRBs, SIPPs and SSAPs along with a Personal Trading facility. The cost of this service is extremely competitive. All of the funds are accessed on a institutional share class basis. The Broker Platform allows the broker’s clients to access a comprehensive universe of investment opportunities in risk rated model portfolios assisted by world class investment advisory firms. Alternatively, brokers can help their clients build their own portfolios with access to International Fund Managers, Equities, Hedge Funds, REITS, Commodities, Loan Notes, Structured Products and Life Company Funds. There are thousands of investment funds and a broad range of asset classes that clients can access.
In addition, Wealth Options have streamlined the documentation to allow seamless access to the platform. With one click of a mouse the broker and the client can have access to their portfolio online and print off any individualised reports that they require. The Wealth Options Broker Platform will allow brokers compete in a space that has been traditionally the preserve of stockbrokers and the life companies whilst maintaining ownership of their clients.
Eanna McCloskey, Managing Director at Wealth Options Ltd. discussed that the reasoning behind launching the platform, was that there was a demand from brokers to have access to an Irish based platform that was easy to use, broker friendly and more importantly, was absolutely clear who owns the client.
The Wealth Options Broker Platform stacks up in terms of overall price, service and flexibility. It provides accessibility to model portfolios from Morningstar and Dimensional for brokers in several different risk categories. These model portfolios were put together by independent world class investment consultants who rebalance and monitor on an ongoing basis. It can cope with portfolio builder where a broker wants to choose a selection of fund managers and build their own portfolios for clients. In terms of funds, there is access to over 4,000 funds, with investors having access to any funds with a Sedol/ISIN.
In addition, investors can access other third party assets including structured products, property and cash. The Broker Platform system also has the ability to report on these assets, as well as the model portfolios. This means that Brokers and their clients have constant access to updates and up-to-date portfolio reports.
There is also an equity/ETF only dealing function which is competitively priced.
At the seminars, Brian Flynn, Director, reaffirmed Wealth Options commitment to Independent Brokers and spoke of the opportunities for brokers to provide impartial advice to clients. He also thanked the attendees for their support of the Wealth Options “Broker Only” model and acknowledged their role in helping Wealth Options become one to the top distributors of financial products in Ireland.
